bage plastics presently produces at three locations: in St. Marien (Austria) – where the headquarters as well as the logistics site are located, in Wolfern (Austria) and in Großschirma (Germany), where the recycling sites are located. 

Shredded plastic material obtained from refrigerators and electronic scrap is delivered to Wolfern / Großschirma. The already pre-processed material predominantly consists of insulation material, the plastic components polypropylene, polystyrene and ABS, as well as aluminium, copper and other waste fractions. Using special separation processes that make use of the density and electrostatic properties of the material, as well as near-infrared, polypropylene, polystyrene and ABS are recovered with a purity of 99.5 per cent. The plastic is then sent to the extrusion plant in St. Marien where it is melted down, enriched with modifiers, filtered and formed into granulate.

While only plastic from refrigerators is recycled at the Wolfern and St. Marien sites, the site in Großschirma (Saxony) focuses on the recycling of plastic from WEEE (electrical and electronic scrap).
